He made eye contact with Conner from the window and sighed through his nose. Stepping out of the clearing, he sat down and glared at the other wolf from his spot. Even if Conner didn't want to face him, he'd wait for Harlow until she came out to bring her home, it was the least he could do since he had ran off after his sister.

"Hey, that's Zyl." Harlow smiled and waved, then remembered she was mad. She walked away from the window and sat down on the blanket. "So you know him." Conner asked not taking his eyes off of him. "Yeah, but I'm mad at him right now." Conner grinned and rested his chin in his hand. "I see." He whispered. It was strange to see a human around these parts, and for her to be so okay with werewolves, she must be a strong girl. "Should I invite him in?" Harlow just shrugged. She didn't care. "Hey, Zyl, care to join us?"

@Fenrir

Zyl narrowed his eyes and walked a few steps closer to the house before settling down. He knew better than to enter another family pack's home. He hated that Harlow was with another wolf other than him but he would show any emotion, not in front of Conner

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Oh come on.. my parents don't know about this place." Conner looked behind him to Harlow. "Plus, I think you need to properly talk to the young lady." Harlow peeked over just a little just enough to where all you could see was her big blue eyes. "She seems pretty upset with whatever you did."

@Fenrir

Zylfer shook his head stubbornly and swished his tail to indicate that he was staying put. He rested his head on his front paws and glanced around the areas, hating the emptiness of the space

Conner looked back at Harlow and shrugged. "Seems he doesn't want to see you." Harlow stood and walked out the door. She walked over to Zyl and put her hands on her hips. "Why won't you come in and play with us?" (I'm going to be busy for a while, so sorry if my answers are short or if I don't reply for a while.)

@Fenrir

(it's alright! The responses are fine as long as they're not one line.)
Zyl shifted and glared at the house "me and Conner don't get omg too well. I'm not going into his home." He glanced down at her "I'll stay here until you want to leave."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"He's very nice though." Harlow didn't get the whole werewolf thing, but they would get along as people, or at least she thought so. "Alright, I'll go home, as long as you carry me." Again she lifted her her arms up for him. Conner walked out and went over to the two. "I can carry you if you want?"

@Fenrir

Zylfer shifted back into his wolf form and sat in front of Harlow, not making a sound but also not letting inner any closer to her. He pinned Conner with a look that told him he wouldn't move until Haow made her choice

@Fantasy-Illy!

Harlow didn't look at Conner. She kept her arms out, wanting Zyl to carry her home. Conner sighed in defeat and backed away. He wasn't sure why Zyl was so protective over a human girl. But, he did he had a feeling of protecting her as well, which was weird. "Could I carry you tomorrow?" Harlow turned and nodded with a smile. Her on the other hand just felt like she gained two big brother's. It was exciting to her.

@Fenrir

Zyl shifted and glanced at Conner, knowing he felt something for the girl as he did. He said nothing as Harlow accepted his offer, even though if he didn't agree with it. He gave the other male a small nod before swiftly picking Harlow in his arms and heading out of the clearing

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Why don't you and Conner like each other?" Harlow asked while laying her head on his shoulder. He was comforting and she liked that. Like a big brother. And Conner was like the older friend who was protective. Two friends now. Harlow was happy about that. She was alone for as long as she can remember and now being homeschooled didn't help.

@Fenrir

"our families have never really gotten along. Something about trust and deserving to be here." He shrugged, adjusting his hold on her as he walked through the forest

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Are all wolf families like that?" It confused Harlow. Sure some people were like that, but weren't all wolves supposed to be like family? She laid her head on his shoulder and held onto him tighter.
(Sorry, my weekend has been crazy.)

@Fenrir

(it's okay!)
He shrugged "it depends on who you get along with and who you feel is your enemy. Me and Conner never really got along but it's never been too bad." He sighed softly "it's stupid I know but it's hard to accept change."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Have you ever tried being friends? Or was it an automatic hate at first sight sort of thing?" Harlow has never heard of hate at first sight, she knew there was love at first sight, but she didn't understand that well either. Then another question popped into her mind, but she wouldn't ask that right now.

@Fenrir

"it's never really crossed my mind to try to become friends with him, he certainly doesn't seem open to it," he shook his head and sighed "I could never fully hate him. I don't know him well enough to hate him."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"He seemed open to being friends earlier. He even invited you to come into his club house." Or at least that's what she thought it was, it sure looked like one. "You should come inside me house and play with me. My parents aren't home, so it should be fine."

@Fenrir

He shook his head "I'm not allowed, mom and dad wouldn't like it. Especially when it's another pack's home."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"You werewolves are weird. I would think it's okay to have anyone as a friend." Harlow didn't have many friends, even back in her old town. People thought she was weird, so the kids didn't want to play with her. "That's my house." She hoped out of Zyl's arms. "Guess I'll see you later then." She was a bit sad, but there was nothing she could do.

@Fenrir

He nodded, a small smile on his face "maybe," he shifted and ran back into the woods, back towards his home, hating to out in the open for long.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(Should we time skip to when they start figuring out they like each other? I think that would be cute.)

@Fenrir

(so late teens? Or back to where we were before the flashback?)

@Fantasy-Illy!

(Probably late teens)

@Fenrir

(Oki, want to start that off?)

Harlow woke up and fixed her hair. Her hair was already had loose natural curls, but she helped them out a bit almost every morning. Once she was old enough for high school her parents decided to put her in school. Today was a Saturday though, so she had the day off. Like usual her parents were gone, and they still didn't like her leaving the house, but she did anyway. A knock came at the door and she ran over. On the other side stood Conner. Over the years they have become good friends. He promised to take her to town today while her parents were gone. "You ready?" It was a warm day, so she wore a pair of shorts and a tank top. "Yeah.. but um.. can you give me a few minutes." He sighed and crossed his arms. "Going to see Zyl?" He smiled. Conner knew they were close as well and there was nothing he could do about it. "I just need to tell him where I'm going so he doesn't get worried. I'll be back." She ran off into the forest with a smile on her face. It was rare nowadays to see both her bestfriends in the same day. "Zyl!"

@Fenrir

Over the years Zylfer and grown into his wolfish form as well as into his normal form, his body lithe but not overly muscular, his hair was wild and untamed, reaching down to the nape of his neck. he had bangs that covered his eyes and would usually get flicked away. his eyes were amber now, an unsettling yellow that he had grown yet still not fully matured into adulthood. He walked about the woods, enjoying the early morning and cool breeze against his skin. he thought back to Harlow and their time together spent over the years as well as the many times spent with conner. he had learned through many fights with him as well as lessons from his father to respect the young male. He had done nothing wrong in his life and never once did he mistreat Harlow. Zyl decided he'd give conner a fair chance and maybe become friends with him.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Harlow stopped at the clearing. There was this one spot they always meet up at. And now that she's older she's learned to navigate through the woods, with the help of Zyl and Conner of course. Now the only problem was, Harlow was getting feelings for both these boys and she was unsure of what to do. She thought it was just because they were the closest to her and all the boys at her school were idiots. So it could possibly just be small crushes. "Zyl!" Being on the track team help her with her stamina, so she could get places faster without running out of breath as easily.

@Fenrir

Zyl stopped and turned, having heard his name called. He shifted in a few bounds, his black and dark red tinted fur shining in the light. He ran to the clearing wondering why she was still here if it was Conner's week with her. He made it to the clearing and sat in front of her with a tilt of his head. He nudged her hand and wimpered slightly, his way of asking if she was okay. His gazed pinned on rer both with affection and worry

@Fantasy-Illy!

Harlow bent down and hugged him. His fur was always so soft, and she loved it. The way they decided to split time with her was weird, but it made her happy that they could agree on something. "I'm going to town with Conner. You should join." Harlow had done this many times, trying to get both of them to hang out with her. Up until now though it hasn't worked. She pulled away and looked into his eyes. She herself did a puppy dog face, though he was always better at that. "Please."
