(Wow that's even cooler! I actually learned chinese, or a little bit when I was a kid for a few years. I wasn't exactly a happy camper about it, so I've only retained knowledge of the first ten numbers and how to write them, and some words like water.)

(It took me four years to speak somewhat fluently so… you know… it’s a darn hard language XD)

(In Chinese? Yeah, that's part of the reason why I wasn't exactly happy about being forced to go to Chinese School every Saturday for a couple years.)

(Yeah, I was like that, but I eventually got over it and here I am! A mess of a mix of languages XD. Btw, you haven’t posted your character have you?)

Name: Mya Miyazono
Age: 16
Gender: female
Personality Description: She hates when her name is mispronounced or misspelled, but she understands why people do that so frequently. It's because of it's unusual spelling. She likes to be social and have friends. For her, it would be optimum if she could be socially accepted by all of her peers, but that would be called getting into the "in-group." And that's simply not possible, because she's Mya Miyazono, and that's the way it is in her school.
Physical Description: Miya has shoulder-length black hair, blue eyes, a sharp nose, and defined cheekbones and facial features. Her legs are longer than an average female her age would be, but not by much. Only by a couple of inches. Her olive-toned skin blends nicely with her hair.
Powers: Wings. White feathered wings. About eight-nine feet in wingspan.
Brief Backstory: Mya has one family member left, the others wouldn't really care if she went missing - she goes off on her own so much. Only her older brother would notice, but that's because he suffers from anxiety, and calls her cell every day. She's half-japanese, and fluent in the japanese language as well. when she's stressed or anxious, she'll sometimes slip into the japanese language sometimes.
(Interested in shipping the character? Yes or no) Depends on how the rp goes. I may or may not want Mya to be shipped, but we'll see.

((HERE WE GO. Okay, so make sure you know the rules, and have fun. We're starting when they arrive at the Haven, so they already have their powers, they've already been taken from their fam, and now here they are– in a strange place that's nothing like they expected. NOTE: I'm the kind of roleplayer who occasionally picks up characters on the way, so I may end up with a second character. If any of you would like to do this later on as well, I will allow it because I don't want to do something that I won't let you all do too. Just let me know and as long as it fits the RP it'll be fine. :D ))
Makarios
The vehicle came to a rather abrupt stop, causing Makarios to slide into the person sitting to his right– while the person on his left slid into him, sandwiching him between the two of them.
"Sorry," he muttered, even though it wasn't his fault. He scooted away, trying not to crush the other person. It was almost like he was on his way to a prison, sitting on a bench-like seat in the back of a boxed-in vehicle. All he could think about was his mother, his siblings– what they thought of him now. The sadness that crippled him refused to leave, but he didn't show it. No, his expression showed nothing but apathy towards the situation.
Suddenly, the back door opened with a loud metal grinding sound. Light spilled in, blinding Makarios. He threw up a pale hand to shield himself from the harsh brightness that assaulted his eyes.
"Welcome to the Haven, kiddos," a gruff voice said. "C'mon."
All of the teenagers filed out of the vehicle; Makarios was pushed along with them, forced along like a leaf blown in the wind. He nearly fell as the horde of teenagers shoved him over the edge of the truck's back, but he managed to keep from stumbling. His legs were sore from the long ride; he hadn't stood for hours.
The cool wind whipped at his jacket and hair, chilling him. He had thought it was cold in the back of the truck, but it was chillier here. He zipped up his jacket and shoved his hands in his pockets as he surveyed his surroundings.
Considering the ride, he wasn't sure what he had expected– but the place around him was surprisingly decent– not impressive, but decent. There were quite a few buildings, some of which were shops and restaurants. The only houses he saw looked like small apartments. A huge wall was erected around the entirety of the place, to keep anyone from leaving. Warning signs were placed everywhere, stating that it was punishable and dangerous to use one's powers for harm or to attempt to leave. Overall, it was like a compacted city that was closed off from the rest of the world.
Personally, Makarios didn't like it. For some reason, the facade of it being an enjoyable place to live made him sick to his stomach. He didn't want to be here.
"What do we do now?" someone asked. Makarios wondered the same.
"You can just look around," the man who'd let them out of the vehicle said as he slammed the doors shut. "You don't need money around here. Everything you need is supplied by the government. There are limitations as to how much you can have, but you'll be well taken care of." Before anyone could ask anything else, he swung himself into the passenger seat of the vehicle and the truck drove off– through an open gate in the city wall. Once the vehicle was gone, the gate closed.
Makarios turned back to face the city, wishing with all his might that he could be anywhere but here.

“Oi, get it movin’ will ya?!” One of the several officers around them had shouted out. Apparently, Kaito had gotten himself into this situation without even knowing it. He looked at the group that walked with him; roughly seven to eight people though the wind was too strong for him to see properly without having to close his eyes.
He was tempted to use his powers, knowing well that it would benefit him and the other people who were like him… though of course, he lacked the capability to make five people faint at once. That was a dream he wished had came true.
Arriving at the gates, the officers kicked him in followed by the other people.
As soon as they were set inside the place they’ve got to call their new home, the gates closed behind them.
Curse them… he thought silently as he slowly stood up with difficulties thanks to one of the officers who tied his hands behind his back.
Lindsay tried not to cry as the thoughts of five other confused, upset teenagers bombarded her brain. The thoughts of the officers only added to the chaos in her head. She was still getting used to her fledgling powers, and being around more than a few people at a time was liable to make her head spin. She blinked, taking in her new surroundings with disdain and melancholy, her brain unable to process that this was her new reality. It almost felt like a nightmare. Almost, except for the pounding in her temple.
Lindsay couldn’t do much as her hands were tied behind her back, and her head was beginning to ache with the turmoil of several other people added to her own. She bit her lip, forcing herself not to show weakness, even though it only added to her pain. She hadn’t struggled as the officers had taken her and shoved her into their vehicle. What could she possibly have done to stop them? She barely even knew she had these powers, let alone how to control them. She hadn’t even gotten to tell her family goodbye.
As she scanned the unfamiliar area and the unfortunate kids who had ended up here with her, her usual chipper attitude and optimism seemed even further away than it had earlier. All she could do now was wonder what they had in store for them. In a small voice, she asked, “What do we do now?”
Mikeal
"I….think I can help with it," Mikeal spoke up, his thoughts being somewhat calmer than the others.
He was dressed in a simple pair of faded jeans, a white T-Shirt with what looked like a coffee stain on it, and white sneakers. As he was speaking, his mind was racing, tapping into that sweet spot where his powers were controlled. The rope that was tied around his hands slowly began to unraveling as he began to sweat slightly.
Lindsay glanced at the boy that had spoken up, confused. His mind had gone from calm to racing in a split second, and that didn’t help her pain. In spite of that, she raised her eyebrows in wonder as his rope slid off of his hands. She’d never actually seen anyone use their powers before. She tried not to look so naive, but acting on top of the headache and despair she was feeling was difficult to say the least. She wished she could fix her glasses, which had begun to slide down her nose.
Makarios glanced at the others, their expressions and actions. As apathetic as he looked, he too was filled with turmoil. It could be worse, he though. I could be dead.
He wondered if his powers could help him get out, but the thought didn't last long before it was whisked away. Who was he kidding? He'd either kill someone or wouldn't be able to use his powers at all. He felt hopeless. Utterly hopeless.
His heart sank when he realized that everyone else had it just as bad– or worse– than he did. Who am I to wallow in self-pity?
"There's not as many people here as I thought there would be," he muttered to anyone who would listen, forcing himself to speak the most positive thing he could. "At least it doesn't seem overcrowded."
But that left him to wonder why there weren't more people here. Try as he might, he didn't sound (or feel) cheery enough to be uplifting.

Kaito
Kaito glanced around him a bit, making sure there were no guards around.
Great… all clear… he sighed in relief as he started to unravel the piece of cloth tied to his wrists which was stained with sweat. It had been a weird sensation to finally be free of the cloth.
He knew from the start that the people from his vehicle were… practically useless. He looked around at the people from the other cars and saw this one particular man who looked to be roughly around the same age as he was.
Thanks to his powers, he was able to see black smogs around the man. Without asking, Kaito opened his mouth and absorbed in the black fog around the man which tasted like doubt, uncertainty, and very slight scent of nervousness.
“You okay?” He approached the man who spoke of how the place was not too overcrowded.

The ropes dropped to the ground and he rubbed his wrists, wincing at the rope burn. A quick glance around had him focus on a girl who looked like she was in pain.
"Oh! Lemme help you with those," he said as he walked over, assuming the pain was from the discomfort of the ropes. In a split second she was untied.
Lindsay blinked, studying the boy. “Thank you,” she said softly, giving him a slight smile, though it was still tinged with pain. She fixed her glasses, glancing over with a bit of a frown at the boy who had thought about all of them as useless before looking back at the one who had helped her. “I’m Lindsay,” she introduced herself, hoping she didn’t look like too much of a mess. Her hair was in a messy bun that had certainly become more messy throughout the journey, but her clothing choice of a vintage graphic t-shirt, high-waisted jeans, and chunky white sneakers seemed okay.
Makarios
Makarios hesitated, unsure of how to define "okay." Was he okay? Did the guy mean physically, mentally, or emotionally? Or all of the above? He felt like a heavy weight was pressing down on him. He wasn't sure if his powers were working against him or if it was just stress, but he felt like he was about to buckle under the pressure.
"Well, I haven't had a panic attack yet, so I'd say I'm doing pretty well so far," he responded, sounding well-put together despite being the exact opposite. He offered a bit of a smirk and sounded almost like he was kidding.

Kaito
Kai raised a brow before he slide his finger down his own neck. He opened his mouth again, taking in the black fog that had formed around the man in front of him again; this time, the fog tasted like stress. As he swallowed, he felt a pang of coldness down his spine.
Crap… he held something in his mouth though it had been released by a cough; it was a small pool of thick blood that he caught in his hand. The continuation of the feast of negativity made him a bit sick. Perhaps he should consider training a bit more so that he won’t be this way next time he uses his powers.
“Ignore that please…” he poured the blood down onto the ground beside him “—I’m Kaito, by the way, Yumeka Kaito” he introduced with a friendly smile with his eyes closed.
Lindsay blinked, studying the boy. “Thank you,” she said softly, giving him a slight smile, though it was still tinged with pain. "I'm Mikeal," he said slipping his hands into his pockets and giving her a smile back. He wasn't one to judge people on their appearance, especially after what they had just gone through, so he hardly noticed her hair. "Seems like they chose the roughest pieces of rope they could find to tie us up with."
The joke was a lame attempt to break the ice and he cursed himself mentally after saying it.
