"Misty!" Marlee started laughing.

Cory gave a small embarrassed smile and wiped his hand on his pants. "Yuck," He mumbled.

"Misty you're a brat." Marlee smiled. "If you wanna get away from this one, we can go get some take for Snickers."

"Okay," Cory nodded, "Sounds good."

Marlee unlocked the tack room and grabbed out a saddle, saddle pad, and Snickers' bridle. She lead Cory over to a grooming stall. "I'll be right back, just got to get that one out of her stall."

"Okay," Cory stood awkwardly in the barn shifting uncomfortably as Snickers stared him down.

"Come on Snickers." Marlee led Snickers down and put her in the cross ties.

Cory watched Marlee, unsure of what to do.

"You can help me brush her out." Marlee smiled grabbing a curry brush from a bucket and held it out for Cory.

"A-alright," Cory stepped forward and took the supplies, his hand brushing against hers. He blushed and stepped cautiously towards Snickers.

Marlee felt her face heat up. His skin is so soft! Marlee realized she should help him. "I can show you how if you'd like."

"Uh, that sounds good," Cory looked at her.

Marlee put her hand on top of Cory's. She looked at him to make sure he was okay with it.

Cory blushed wildly when she put her hand on top of his. Don't panic, don't panic don't panic. Remember in for 7, hold for 8, out for 4 He breathed and slightly calmed down, he then tried to cover his nervousness, "S…so how do you do it?" He questioned not meeting her eye.

"You make a circular motion over the neck, back, side of the stomach and the hip." Marlee replied, slightly removing her hand.

"Ah, okay that sounds easy enough," Cory said following her instructions. When her hand lifted from his, he felt a strong sense of disappointment but he pushed it away, You were being awkward so it's your own fault for making her lift her hand, idiot

"Once you finish that I can show you the other brushes. I'm going to go get my horse, Blaze. I'll be back in a second." Marlee walked outside to retrieve Blaze.

Cory nodded as she left and continued brushing. He stepped back nervously whenever the horse made a loud noise or stomped her hoof.

Marlee returned with a large Fjord. "This is Blaze by the way." She said behind the giant horse as she turned into the grooming stall next to Cory and Snickers.

Cory stared at the horse for a minute, "That's…uh…he looks intimidating," He replied

"Oh not at all, he's a total teddy bear. Wanna come over and say hi?" Marlee gave an encouraging smile.

Cory hesitated then stepped forward and reached out a hand to pet him, "H-hi there, B-blaze."

Blaze sniffed Cory's hand and rubbed his head against him. "He approves of you." Marlee laughed. "He usually doesn't like other guys around me, like if my brother and his friends come to ride and I'm around he gets really protective." Blaze rubbed his head even closer to Cory.

Cory blushed and almost tripped with the force of the rubbing, "He sure is sweet," He laughed.

Marlee laughed. His laugh is so cute! She blushed. "Alright Blaze. Time for grooming."

Cory smiled when she laughed, Her laugh is so sweet and nice to listen to He sighed and turned back to Snickers who huffed at him, "Hm, let me finish brushing you, okay?" He said quietly.

Marlee ran to the tackroom and grabbed everything she needed. "Do you want me to help you tack her up then?" She called to Cory as she walked back to the grooming stall.

"Huh? What her up?" Cory asked confused.

"Tack, the saddle and all that jazz." Marlee laughed. "Sorry, I'm speaking equestrian term."

"Oh! It's fine. I was just a bit confused," Cory gave a small laugh.
