Nico and will follow after the doctor, Will humming softly as he does so.
One on one? (Closed!)
Alison decided to wait outside. She doubted anybody would randomly steal a disabled android but you never knew with some folks. The Doctor hurried up the the front desk. "Priority individual, it's a code mauve. A rival renegade Time Lord stole a Type 40 model TARDIS and ran away with it." he explained. The green eyed brunette receptionist laughed. "That's rich coming from you. Let me guess, it was the Master again, wasn't it?" she asked. "Ah, no. For once. He's, er, sort of my weird space boyfriend, actually, but if he knows I said that he'll either murder me, or otherwise he'll… never mind that. It was a Time Lord known as the Rani. You may have some information in your database about her." he said.
(Good morning!)
Will and Nico join the doctor, talking quietly.
"Ah, the Rani. Yeah, not classified as an incredibly high threat, but I'll see what I can do." the receptionist said. "No, I need to get my TARDIS returned now." the Doctor said angrily. "Listen, I'm trying as hard as I can, but the quickest we'll be able to get back to you is six months." the receptionist said haughtily.
Nico pushes past them, "Look. I don't give a fuck whether or not you're trying your hardest." He growls. Nico was terrifying when he needed to be, "But I swear to go I will reap your soul and tear it to shreds." Will pales, "Nico… the last time you did that…"
"Listen, kiddo, I can't help it there's millions of other criminals zipping around time and space. File a complaint to them." the receptionist glared. Suddenly, a young woman with wavy brown hair, brown eyes, and the widest smile you could possibly fine on a human being walked into the room. "Don't worry, Cheryl, I'll take care of this." she said. "Captain Oswald, are you really sure-" "Damn straight I'm sure. Go and restock pens or something. Come on, my office is this way." Oswald said, waving the group over with two fingers.
Will places a hand on Nico's shoulder and shakes his head. They look at the woman and they nod.
Oswald lead them to a simple but cosy office, sitting down at her desk and pressing a remote. A couch appeared, unfolding from the floor and facing Oswald's desk. "Sit down, please." she said simply.
Will hesitantly follows after them, biting his lip. Nico followed without hesitation.
"I'd prefer to stand, thank you. So, Oswald was it?" the Doctor asked. "Yeah, that's me. Go on. You were saying, about the Rani?" she said. "Alright, you couldn't have overheard us. Explain, please?" the Doctor asked. "Oh, hacked into the security cameras. It's easy. They even have audio, so I could hear the conversation with no trouble. The Rani. Explain, now. I don't like beating around the bush." Oswald smirked.
Will and Nico sit down slowly, Will tense, Nico scanning the woman. "We need to get home…" Will whispers. Nico nods. "I know."
"She stole my Type 40 model TARDIS. Fortunately, I got stuck in this century, so my reluctant call for help is slightly more manageable." the Doctor said. "Yeah, ironic that the stolen Type 40 gets stolen. Also ironic that one of the high and mighty Time Lords is crying for help to a so called lesser species. Or specieses. What's the term for multiple species? Nevermind that, why aren't you just calling your fellow Time Dipshits for help?" Oswald said. "I don't consider myself one of them. Only in biology, if that, not beliefs. I'm the Doctor, you may have heard of me, I'm pretty well known to your little group." he replied. "Oh, right. Yeah, I've heard a lot about how sympathetic you are and whatnot, but still. Why ask the Agency for help?" Oswald asked.
(You online?)
Will clears his throat. "Ma'am, if I may, Nico and I are only passengers, along with Alison. We're just… well… Nico and I are Halfbloods, but we're still human." He mutters softly, "Neither Nico nor I think we are above anyone." He explained. "The Doctor allowed us to join him."
"Alison, then? There's an Alison? Alright, fine. Whatever. I'll help." she said, flipping her ponytail away from her face. "Don't you have a first name?" the Doctor asked. "Cece. You can call me Cece." Oswald said. "Everyone does. That or Oswald." she grinned.
Nico gulps and looks at the ground. Will shares a knowing glance. "It's okay." He whispers softly.
"No time to dawdle, then. Don't worry, this lot's used to me running off, and I think I have a good idea of where to look." Cece, or Oswald, said. "Alright then, what's your idea?" the Doctor asked. "I'll explain later." she said, slinging a bag over her arm and putting on a sort of leather wristwatch/sci-fi looking armband.
Nico takes a shaky breath, rubbing a finger on his wrist were the names where. "Let's go." He stands and nods to the woman. Will follows his lead.
They headed outside. Alison stood up, a nervous look on her face. "So, has everything been sorted?" she asked. The woman that had just appeared looked oddly similar to Alison herself, but she waved the thought away. "Captain Cece Oswald, Time Agent." Cece said. "She's, ah, going to help us recover the TARDIS." the Doctor explained.
Nico and Will walk behind the two, both of them looking worried.
"Put your hands on my wrist, on the Vortex Manipulator. My wristband, here. Not the most fun method of travel, but I've gone through worse." she held out her arm. Alison and the Doctor both places their hands on Cece's wrist, indicating for Will and Nico to do the same.
Nico takes a breath, "Alright." He grabs her wrist. Will hesitates, his blue orbs filled with pain, but slowly he places his hand on top of the others.
"Good. Now, let's be off." Cece said, and with that they disappeared, reappearing moments later in something that appeared to be 21st century Earth. "Best I can do, did a little detective work and this is the most likely place this Rani person would be. Bristol, England, Earth, 2022. Don't worry about your robot, I sent one of my assistants to pick it up. It'll be in my workshop when we get back." she confirmed. "First mistake you made was the location. The Rani rarely visits Earth, and even if she does, she won't stay long. Second, he's a he, not an it." the Doctor glared. "Ah, well, traces Artron Energy combined with a huge laboratory that's called "RANI Labs" make it pretty obvious." Cece smirked.
Nico and Will breathe a sigh of relief. Home… Will looks around, "Uh… Nico…" He whispers, looking around. "Doesn't this look familiar?" He mutters to the other. He nods. "It's where We first met Sadie and Carter, which prbably means they're nearby."
"Ah, erm, you probably shouldn't go looking for people you know. Could cause a paradox, probably would actually. And I doubt Americans like you would ever visit Bristol. Still, it's better than Brexit for sure." Cece joked. She adjusted her gloves, and walked into the building. "Come come, I don't have all day, you know!" she said cheerfully.
Nico nods, "Yeah. We understand. C'mon Will." He says gently.
Cece flashed a badge and the group was permitted entrance. "Psychic paper, gets you anywhere." she said. "I know. I own one. Well, possibly stole it, but the owner was trying to take over Appalachia and I just acquired it while stopping him, so technically it isn't stealing." the Doctor said.
Will and Nico share a glance before Nico takes Will's hand. "This is where it happened, isn't it?" He mutters softly. Will nods, looking around biting his lip before he looked down onto his lap.
"Anyways, this place was apparently built six months ago. A large portion of it is underground, though, where they keep their more secretive stuff." Cece said, leading the group into an elevator.
