"Listen, Will, I need you and Alison to come with me. Nico, help the others work on those lights. I won't be long, and I promise, nothing will happen to either of you." the Doctor said.
"Are you kidding me? Nico almost died. Give him a break for two seconds!" Will barks. "I-It's fine Will…" Nico whispers.
"I need to… erm…. show you something." the Doctor said.
Will looks at Nico and Nico nods gently.
"Alright, come on. Aliskn, you too!" the Doctor said, leading them into another room. "Alison, Will, stand on this platform." he said. Alison didn't hesitate, but did however voice concerns. "What am I standing here for?" she asked. The Doctor pushed Will onto the platform, then ran over to a computer terminal. "Listen, I can explain." he said, pressing a button and teleporting the two back to the TARDIS. "That's the way to do it." he muttered.
Back at the TARDIS, Alison started to rematerialize,but suddenly faded out again. The same happened to Will. Everything went dark for a moment, but suddenly Alison sat up in a hospital bed. What a strange dream. I thought that I was travelling in one of those old police boxes with aliens and demigods. she thought, getting up our of her bed. What happened? How did I get here again?
The Doctor hurried back into the library, having successfully teleported Will and Alison back into the TARDIS, or so he thought. Unfortunately, the teleports would break down after two more people went, so he could only save those two. Hopefully my theory about Nico's resistance to the Vashta Nerada is correct…. he thought, feeling a little guilty of being unsure.
Will's eyes flutter open. What was that? Where am I? He grunts and sits up.
Alison walked down the hallway. She came across an older man carrying a briefcase. "Hello, I'm Dr. Moon. And you must be Alison, correct?" he asked.
The Doctor ran back into the room. "How are we doing on those lights?" the Doctor asked. "As of yet, no success. Where did those other two… er, sorry, forgot their names, but where did they go?" Anita asked. "Oh, they're safe." the Doctor said. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed something….
Will sits up weakly, coughing softly. Where am I?
"Oh, Dr. Moon, I'm so sorry! I forgot who you were for a moment!" Alison said. "And then you remembered." he smiled. "Let's to for a walk, shall we?" he asked. Moments later, they were outside. Alison was no longer wearing a hospital gown, but instead was in a purple jumper and jeans. "How did we get here… we were just….. no, I remember, I walked to the wardrobe, put this on, we went out through the lobby, and I to the courtyard." Alison reminded herself. "So how has the readjustment been going? Has it been running smoothly? No more dream about blue boxes and alien doctors then?" Dr. Moon asked. "Yeah, no more of that. Honestly, those dreams were the weirdest I've ever had in my life." she chuckled.
"Proper Dave, I'm sorry, I really am. But you've got two shadows." the Doctor said. And two shadows did extend from the man. "Stay still, like there's a wasp in the room. Like there's a million wasps." he added.
Will stands. "H-hello?" he calls softly. It was like he was ten again.
Alison found herself back in the building. "Thank you for everything, Dr. Moon." she said. It was a few months later, and she was suddenly in her own flat, which she recalled having saved up for for the majority of those months. Apparently she was sharing it with a high schooler, apparently a foreign exchange student, named Will Solace. Will was apparently moving in today as well, of all days.
"Nico, grab Proper Dave's helmet. Dave, just tell him where it is. Don't point, just tell me." the Doctor said. "On the floor, by my bag." Dave said.
Will hums as he walks down the street. That was such an odd dream. He looks at the paper in his hands. This must be the place.
Nico coughs a little. "How can I help?" He asks.
"Just get the helmet. Don't cross the shadows, don't even let your shadows touch!" the Doctor said.
Nico nods and gets to work, dodging shadows easily.
"Good, helmet." the Doctor said, taking the helmet and putting it back onto Dave's suit. "Hopefully that'll keep the Vashta Nerada at bay. Just keep standing there, Dave." the Doctor said.
Nico looks at the doctor. He was nervous and skittish. But… Will was okay.
Dave looked down. "Hey, the other shadow's gone!" he said , turning around. Suddenly, Dave jolted, a shudder going through the suit and then nothing. "Proper Dave?" Mr. Lux asked. "I'm fine. I'm okay, I'm fine." Dave said. "Hey, who turned out the lights? No, seriously, turn them back on now." Dave said. "The lights are on. Dave, I want you to turn around slowly." the Doctor said. Dave turned around, his visor turned dark. "I'm fine, I'm okay, I'm fine." Dave said. "Dave. Listen to me, the swarm-" the Doctor was cut off. "Hey, who turned out the lights? Hey, who turned out the lights?" Dave said, repeating those same words over and over again. "Everyone, helmets on now!" the Rani said. "He's ghosting." the Doctor said. "Then how is he still standing?" Anita squeaked. "I… don't know." the Doctor said, approaching Dave.
Alison heard a knock on the door. That must be that Will person. "It's unlocked, come on in!" she shouted.
Will enters and smiles. "Oh! Hello. You must be Alison, my new roomie." He says smiling kindly. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Glad to meet you too." Alison said. It was evening now, and Alison had made a cup of tea, she was now sitting in front of the television and channel surfing.
Will places his bag down and smiles a little. "It's nice. I like it. You don't mind if I explore, do you?" He asks curiously.
"No, no trouble at all." Alison replied. "Ah, there we go…. Alison!" the Doctor said from the television screen. Suddenly, it reverted back to the cooking channel it was originally on. "Doctor?" Alison asked. (This happens in the future. That's fine travel for you. Just trying to shake up the plot a little, haha.)
"Hey, who turned out the lights?" the suit asked. "Nico, Rani, Anita, Other Dave, Master, Mr. Lux, we need to get out of here! All of us, now!" the Doctor shouted, grabbing Nico and Anita's hand and dragging them along.
Nico chases after the doctor, his breathing heavy. Will…
Will looks around the house, humming softly as he does so. He smiles a little. It was nice here.
"Come on, come on, come on!" the Doctor said. They came to a dead end. Well, not exactly a dead end, but shadows blocked them from going any further. The shadows closed in, and the suit caught up to them. "Hey, who turned out the lights?" it continued to ask. Shadows extended out from the suit, they were trapped.
Nico glares. He was the prince of darkness. He raises his hand. "Kneel." He orders, his eyes narrowed, his gaze unforgiving. No matter how stubborn a shadow was, it would always bend to him.
"Hey, who turned out the lights?" the suit asked. "Nico, that won't work." the Doctor hissed. "Get out of the way!" the Rani said, aiming a gun at the wall. She shot it, and a square appeared where there was once wall. "Let's move, people. I don't want to get murdered because I let a few of you carnivorous apes die during this mission. I'd personally rather not be here, but life is never fair, eh? Now come on!" she said, running through the opening in the wall.

Will hums as he looks around, his hands in his pockets as he relaxes.
"Must have been imagining things." Alison said, turning off the television. She felt incredibly tired. Suddenly, she was lying down in bed, reading a book.
"Come on!" the Doctor said, shoving everyone through the newly made passage. As soon as he got through, the Rani sealed it back up. "Wait, something's wrong. If Will and Alison had landed back in the TARDIS, I would have gotten a signal on this." he said, holding up his sonic screwdriver. "But I haven't…." he turned his head toward a statue. It had Alison's face on it. "Oh, Alison, no…. no, no, no!" he exclaimed. "Alison Cheney has left the library. Alison Cheney has been saved." the statue said. The Doctor ran to a computer terminal. "I've got to fix this." he said, typing in a string of code into the keyboard. Alison's face appeared on the screen. "Ah, there we go…. Alison!" he said. The picture faded back out. "No, come on!" he shouted at the machine.
Will was reading silently, humming a little as he does so. He sighs softly and looks at the ground, looking for something. He couldn't remember what.
The screen showed a message in red print, saying "CAL access denied." the Doctor ran over to Mr. Lux. "Alright, what's CAL? Tell me!" he said angrily. "I'm sorry, you didn't sign your personal experience contracts." Mr. Lux said haughtily. "Mr. Lux, I don't want to see the seven people who are still alive in this room turn otherwise, so tell me now!" the Doctor shouted. "Doctor, if there's seven people still alive in this room, as you said…. then why is there an eighth?" Anita asked, pointing towards the door. "Hey, who turned out the lights?" the suit asked, closing in on them. The Doctor dragged everyone to the other door leading out, slamming it behind them.
