"Get away from me!" he shouted at the Master, Alison worries the Doctor might become violent soon. And she was right. "Doctor, you need to calm down." Cece stepped forward and put and hand on the Doctor's shoulder. That was all he needed. The Doctor tore a handgun out of it's holster, Cece looked down at where he had taken it from, then back up at the Doctor. "Doctor, please think about what you're doing, I-" "If you get in my way, I'll have to shoot you. And I promise, I have a very good aim." he snapped at Cece. "Dearest, you need to do as the girl says. Calm down." the Master said, watching as the gun swung towards his face. Through a few quick calculations, he found that if the Doctor shot him, he wouldn't be able to dodge, thus damaging the only one that had knowledge of Time Lord biology to care for his fractured mental state. The Doctor really must have been frightened and unaware, then. "You can't possibly be here. Leave, now. That's your final warning." the Doctor said. "My dear, it has been over thirty years since you constructed this android form for me. We have a-" truce was what he would have said. But that was a slight understatement. "We're friends again." he sighed. The Doctor looked at the other man warily, still not lowering the gun, trying to decide whether or not the Master was truly sincere.
One on one? (Closed!)
Will looks at Nico. "Do you think we should leave?" He asks. Nico shrugs. "I kinda want to see this…"
The Doctor put two-and-two together, arriving at one-and-a-half. "We're sleeping with each other. I'm right, aren't I?" he said, his hand beginning to shake as he lowered the gun. "Well, it is slightly more nuanced than that, but I suppose yes. We are." the Master said. The Doctor now dropped the gun to the floor, the Master knew he could step closer now, and walked up to the Doctor, holding him until he began to finally be much more calm again. "I'm sorry, I didn't know and-" "Shh, my dearest Doctor, you will be alright." he said. But suddenly, the panic returned. The Doctor's hand shot up as he tried to hit the Master, but the android grabbed his wrist. "Don't do that." he said firmly. "I'm sorry, I didn't know, I couldn't think…" the Doctor murmured. "Not that, this." the Master pointed out the Doctor's now glowing gold skin. His survival instinct had kicked in, he was trying to regenerate, but was far too weak to do so without killing himself. "I don't want to change, not now, please don't, I don't want to die…." the Doctor trailed off. His skin lit up again, much brighter this time. He was vaguely aware of his mouth moving and his vocal cords vibrating, but he had no idea what he said. He didn't want to regenerate. He didn't want to regenerate. He didn't want to. The Master's fingers landed lightly on his forehead. "Will you let me help you?" he asked. The Doctor wasn't sure if the words he was thinking were coming out properly. The connection between his mind and his mouth seemed to short circuiting, so he gave a vigorous nod instead.
He immediately felt a cooling sensation spread through his body, followed by something warm. He felt the Master in his mind, as calm as a slow river, drifting from one area to the next. He felt those fingers gently push back the sense of panic and close the door behind it, and then begin sweeping up some of the lingering chaos, and ancient voices were ushered into their own quiet corners The Master was careful to withdraw slowly so that he wasn't hit with the sickening shock of reality. When he opened his eyes, the Doctor's was studying him very intently and the fear in his eyes had changed to sadness. "I didn't mean to hit you." the Doctor's words seemed to come out properly this time. "You didn't." the Master replied calmly. "Well, I didn't mean to try." the Doctor said. "Now come lie down, dearest. It's been a long day for the both of us, and I'm still not entirely sure that you've healed up properly." the Master criticized, like the whole scuffle had never happened.
Will watches with amazement and slight jealousy. He had never been able to do something like that, even when Jason woke up with unknown memories. He leans on Nico. "At least things are settling down now…" He mumbles. Nico nods and holds the other.
The Doctor mumbled something in reply, and the Master allowed the Doctor to lean on him as he carried the Doctor back to the infirmary. Alison and Cece followed swiftly, nodding to Will and Nico, a sign that they could follow if they wished.
(Good morning, how are you?)
Nico stands. "I'm going to go with them. Are you going to stay here?" Will nods and smiles a little.
While the Time Lords went down the hall, Cece beckoned Alison and Nico to follow her to the library.
(Sorry for the late response, I just got done with an appointment with my therapist.)
Nico walks after them, his eyes watching everything that moved. He seemed oddly on edge.
"Hey, Nico, you alright?" Alison asked as she walked down the hallway.
He looks up and takes a deep breath. "I'll be fine."
"What's wrong?" she asked, a little bit of worried exasperation in her tone.
Nico rolls his shoulders. "Just a feeling I can't shake." He replies.
"What sort of feeling?" Alison asked. They reached the library, and she pulled up a chair for Nico. The tables were now covered in pottery, Alison had been working on something new now. "Don't mind that. Sorry, I've just been passing the time, it gets boring some days." she chuckled. "But as I asked earlier, what sort of feeling?"
"Not a good one." he replies, taking a deep breath and looks around the library.
"Ah, okay. Do you want to go home now?" Alison asked. "I mean, not that I'm kicking you out or anything, I'm not even sure if I have any authority on the matter, not that I would either way, but I'm just wondering." Alison said. "Actually, I need to chat with you two. About the, as you call him, Alison, the robot." Cece said. "Well, among many other things."
(Ugh, notebook is insanely slow rn.)
(I know… Sorry. I had a concussion so I got sent home.)
Nico looks up. "Due to Will's condition, we are going to have to head back." He whispers. "He's not getting better. I might actually have to talk to his father about it." He says softly, fiddling with his fingers.
(Oh my God, are you alright? I'm so sorry, my internet was super bad, late response and all, I'm really sorry! Are you going to be okay?)
"I hope he'll be okay. I'd be a little upset if something bad happened to him. Well, understatement, I'd be bloody furious if something bad happened." Alison whispered back, before turning her attention to Cece. "Yeah, what about the robot?" Alison asked. "Well, you just might want to check up on him is all. Anyways, we need to talk. About that girl, Umiko. I've been doing a little research, there are quite a few records of her across history, under different names albeit, but the same circumstances. A mysterious young girl, almost always Japansese, turning up in big historical events. In the background, but always there." Cece said. "Questions will be answered as best to my ability, but even I don't know much of her."
(Yeah, I'll be okay. Just not allowed to do anything physical for the next week.)
Nico nods a little and smiles softly before looking towards CeCe. "It sounds like another time Traveller." He says softly.
(Oh, thank goodness. I hope you'll feel better soon!)
"I gathered that. What doesn't make sense is how there's so little information on her in our database. Anyone who travels in time and space has at least some reasonable information about them in their file, but Umiko herself? Practically a myth." Cece said. "Well, maybe she keeps a low profile?" Alison suggested. "Well, maybe, but I don't think it's that. Even the most inconspicuous travellers leave… traces. But Umiko? No. Just whispers in ancient texts, buried with time." Cece said darkly.
Nico shivers. "We had a camper like that once. Daughter of Hecate. Scarriest girl I ever met and that's saying a lot."
"Hmm. Interesting. Name? Origin? Any information on her? I'd like to look in on her, if that's okay with you." Cece said.
Nico shakes his head. "After the battle against Gaea it was like she disappeared into nothing. No one rarely talked to her since she always threatened anyone who can near her."
"Hmm. Doesn't sound much like who I'm looking for, but I'll check it out all the same. So, you said you wanted to go home then? Back to… camp halfblood was it?" Cece asked, standing up.
"Yes. Camp HalfBlood. You're welcome to ask Chiron about it. He knows every demigod who ever came to camp." He shrugs.
"I might." she said. "Anyways, come on. I think that the Doctor will be laid up for a while, and honestly, the Master won't be going anywhere except by that idiot's side if I know him." Cece said. "What do you mean by if you know him?" Alison asked. "Oh, figure of speech. Come on, we have a stop to make. I think we've established I can fly the ship, yes?" she asked. Alison nodded.
Nico nods and offers a small smile. "Yes. Do you need me to do anything?" He asks softly, shifting a little so he can stand without getting dizzy.
