He stood up, stretched, and walked out to the car.

He sighed deeply when they got there, staring at the nightmare of a building in front of them before building enough courage to get out and walked in with Lillian’s hand in his.

Lillian gave Darren a reassuring smile. This would be the last time they came here… She really fucking hoped so.

Darren smiled back and checked in at the front desk.

Lillian was getting anxious now, this could go horribly wrong. He could still have cancer. It could have gotten worse. Why the fuck was she so… Oh right, she loved him that's why.

She could have left him to be fair, he did give her an out more than once.

She’s not leaving him, she liked him way to much. Plus then she would have to find a house and shit.

Ryan would take her in, Coop would, Dalton would, I can stop but there’s more places for her to live.

Okay fine. Lol. Darren stared at the floor of the waiting room.

Lillian was sat next to him, “It’ll be fine.”

“You keep saying that but it doesn’t help,”

“Then what will help?”

“Just getting it over with,”

“Well, it’ll be over soon.”

“Darren,” the nurse stepped out with her usual smile of reassurance.
Darren sighed. “Good to see you again,”
“Hey. No being grumpy. Today’s gonna be great!”

Lillian laughed slighty, “Hi again.”

“Hello Lillian. Are you two ready for your clean bill of health. No more needles for this guy,” she poked Darren’s arm playfully. She sensed he wasn’t in the same confidence.

Lillian smiled cheerfully and said with false confidence, “Yep! No needles ever again babe.”

"I still have to get a flu shot," he slumped down on the bed.
"Oh Darren, I'm going to miss you," she smiled, "The doctor will be right in for you guys,"

Lillian nodded as she chuckled, “Flu shot? Never had one.”
