Nero Seraphiel Jupitronus. Jupitronus being his angelic surname. His mother was Nadya Jupitronus, strongest of the angels and daughter of Maethrillian, God of Magic. His father was Theristis of Setting Sun, ruler of the demon realm Infer-A, strongest among them, and son of Attamar, God of Might. Nero’s demonic name is Nero of Setting Sun. Being descended from both the gods of magic and might, Nero is the fulfillment of a prophecy created by Ao, the primordial essence of harmony. He is judge, jury, and executioner of all deities and as such was born with magical potential well beyond the level of the deities of Meladina.
He was born in the final days of the First Nightmare War, the most ferocious war in modern Meladina history. On one side: all mortal races of Meladina and their Angelic and Demonic summons; on the other side: the most terrifying magical biological weapon ever created. The war lasted 12 years and near the end Nadya and Theristis conceived a child who went on to be Nero. He never met either of his parents as he was given to the nation of Kallypso’s military before his parents ended the war. Nero grew up in an orphanage in the Kingdom of Kallypso. He was known as the “Child with Gifts” as he was unnaturally intelligent and wise for his age. He attended public school for the entirety of his childhood and teenage years as he refused to enroll in any private academies even though many said institutions were begging for him to do so due to his incredible magical skill.
Growing up, Nero learned his true power was too much to use around regular mortals, so at the age of 14, he created 7 magical seals that lined his spine to limit his power to seven stages, but even with all seven seals in place, he was still the strongest living being on Meladina, including the Guardian gods (deities that live amongst mortals). When he graduated high school, he took a job as an architect's apprentice.
Entering his twenties, Nero was met and challenged by Azrael, another Nephilim (half-demon, half-angel) born from the war. Nero won easily and came to respect Azrael for his courage and willpower. They still correspond with one another to this day, well over a century later. A few years after meeting Azrael, he met and befriended all the Guardian deities, he became especially close with Afriaelle, Goddess of Fire.
Now a fully fledged architect, Nero used all the money he saved up to purchase all sorts of texts and books on current and ancient magic. He used these to learn and create spells on his own without attending a magic school. Nero had been born with six glyphs, three on each forearm. All other sentient beings only possessed one glyph, and only generations later would a demon be born with two, so his six were an absolute rarity. He also possessed the Dimi and Kata, his left and right eyes respectively; Dimi can channel his immense magic supply outward with perfect efficiency and grants him complete control over all magical energy; Kata can outright destroy any physical object or nullify/absorb any magic.
As his twenties passed by and his thirties were almost to a close, Nero realized he had stopped aging, at the age of 38 he looked the same as when he was 25. He had learned from books that demons and angels lived much longer lives than regular mortals, but he hadn’t expected to look so young for so long. Nero trained his magical skills with the Guardian gods, and developed even stronger, near-world-ending techniques in pocket dimensions he would create.
He chose to leave his job as an architect and travel the world at 43. By then he was known as “the guy who didn’t age and could solve nearly any problem with either his intelligence, wisdom, or magic” in the town he had lived in his whole life. Nero visited every nation (there’s only five major ones and a dozen or so smaller ones as the world is mostly a wasteland) and befriended many a head of state. After his tour of the world, Nero returned home where he continued to fix problems and make connections. He met the Queen of Kallypso at the time and befriended her as well. He moved to the capital and spent time with the nobility and royalty. He’s stopped famines and droughts, cured plagues, and just overall made the kingdom of Kallypso an amazing place to live for its citizens over his long life.
