Overview
Demetra
She is the younger of Agia's two daughters. When Mordrasil still stood, she maintained all of nature's flora and the entities based on it. After it was destroyed, she estranged herself from her siblings and began to wander the globe, contemplating her existence and tending to nature wherever she found it.
The Goddess of Flora, the Ent-Mother
Appearance
In her divine form, she is a tall and mighty ent. Her boughs bear different leaves and flowers depending on the season and climate, though most of the time she is seen with oak leaves.
Her mortal form takes on the appearance of a stocky forest elf. Her skin is a deep brown tone. Her hair is long and coily, going down to her waist, and is generally a greenish-brown colour. In the right conditions her hair will also have blooming flowers, which she emulates from her divine form. In both forms her eyes will glow with a divine golden light
14'2" (432cm) in divine form
6'3" (191cm) in mortal form
~2700lbs (1225kg) in divine form
184lbs (83kg) in mortal form
Family
Symbolism
Demetra is usually associated with willpower and natural balance, and is a symbol of stalwart defence. She is usually represented with a shield, a tree, or a flowering blossom.
Earth and water are Demetra's primary elements.
Powers
Rituals
Farmers will pray to Demetra for bountiful harvests and healthy crops. Druids will always seek out Demetra's guidance during training or with solving problems of a druidic nature.
Natives of Sjeresgrott pray to her and her ents for safety and for her unwavering strength.
Demetra is very quiet and sentimental--preferring not to mettle in the affairs of fauna. She is very protective of the world's flora and will resort to extreme measures in order to protect it from unnecessary destruction. There have been a few instances where Demetra has helped mortals (such as providing shelter or encouraging healthy crop growth)--but for the most part she is very distanced from them. She is more likely to be found in the company of wood nymphs or other flora-based creatures.
