Kenna assassinates Galan Deriyan at the royal ball

After killing Galan, Kenna waits at her apartment for Scar to come by as he usually does. He doesn't. She gets her payment left outside her door, the bag is marked with the Winterbourne signal.

The next day, Kenna runs to Scar's keep with the bag says she needs to speak with him. She's let inside, Verena Winterbourne and Dimitri Apex are both with Scar, waiting for Kenna. Verena asks Kenna to join the rebellion, Kenna isn't sure, but she takes on another job to kill Anna Reels for Verena.

Kenna is invited to a party at Verena's manor house in uptown Isadeia. She meets the other rebels.

Kenna begins to shadow Anna, and finds that the woman is involved with the slave trades

Kenna brings this up to Dimitri, and he explains that there's a lot worse things that the Winterbourne Empire has done. Kenna decides she will join the rebellion.

Hawthorne to Providence is burned down in a fire set by Adeline to kill off the poor. Kenna is forced to move into Verena's manor with the rest of the rebels.

Princess Ayiana Whitewood arrives in Isadeia to stay at the palace with Adeline. Verena sends Tanith Blight to shadow the princess.

Kenna speaks to Verena, saying that Anna is too well guarded for her to really get an idea of when to find her vulnerable. Verena gets Kenna into the royal meetings with Adeline, by saying Kenna is her new ambassador. Kenna comes face to face with Adeline and other nobels. Kenna is introduced as Lady Eveleen.

Tanith, who has been following Ayiana from a distance in fear of being discovered, and has gotten very little information on the Whitewood Kingdom, asks Kenna to befriend Ayiana so she may possibly get more information from her. Kenna does.

Kenna goes to the royal ball as Lady Eveleen, meets Nakoa Sunniva briefly. She goes with Dimitri as her guest. She befriends Ayiana here, and figures out Ayiana is Fae. She also chats with Anna and schedules tea for next week.

Verena asks Kenna to get the trade papers from Anna before she kills her.

Ayiana manages to see Tanith through the shadows while with Kenna and demands an explanation. Kenna decides she trusts Ayiana enough to tell her, but with as little information as possible. Kenna acts like she has no idea who Tanith is, and Tanith acts like a servant who was doing what was asked of her from Adeline. Ayiana starts to become suspicious of Kenna.

An old letter is found by the rebellion from the queen of Sansora to the Queen of Tabia speaking of a daughter and heir no one knew of with unimaginable power, a power that could destroy worlds. Kenna and Dimitri overhear this tale in the Devils Tavern with Eira and Caspian. Kenna and Dimitri laugh it off as some kind of children's story, but Caspian takes it a bit more seriously.
