That story I'm writing that doesn't have a title yet

Kenna kills Galan Deriyan at a royal ball.

Kenna goes back to her apartment to wait for Scar. He never shows, and instead, Kenna's payment is left at her door, in a brown bag with the Winterbourne signal imprinted on it.

That afternoon, Kenna goes to Scar's keep to ask him who hired her in fear she's been set up by the guard. She finds Scar with Verena Winterbourne and Dimitri Apex. Verena asks Kenna to join the rebellion, revealing she was the one who hired her to see if she could actually do it. Kenna says she'll think about it, but accepts Verena's second offer to kill and get information on Anna Reels, a noble of the Winterbourne Empire.

Kenna is invited to Verena's manor in uptown Isadiea to meet with the rest of her team and others who oppose Adeline and identify with the rebellion. She meets the Elite, the young team of powerful and dangerous rebels.

Kenna begins to shadow Anna, finds out that she's heavily guarded and it's going to be too hard to find her at a vulnerable time. Kenna comes to Verena with this concern, and Verena decides she's going to get Kenna into the royal meetings at the palace.
