‘You did this to him Alex, it’s your fault.’ He thought, his thoughts screaming at him. “You don’t know that….you might’ve died too”

"…I said I wish they were dead…" He shook his head . 'IT'S YOUR FAULT THEY DIED. YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY AND PROTECT THEM'

“We all say things we don’t mean Landyn. This isn’t your fault.”

Landyn started calming down a little."…But that was the l-last thing I ever said to them…"

“I know, but that doesn’t make any of it your fault, Landyn.”

"…" Landyn was still crying but not as bad.

“It’s gonna be okay” he said quietly, gently taking his hand.

He got up not looking at Alex.

“…Landyn?”

"I…I'm ok…"

“O-okay” he let go of Landyn’s hand. Instead, he crossed his arms across his chest.

Landyn shook his head hoping that would help but failed.

“We should probably get off the sidewalk. It’s making me anxious.” He commented quietly, staring at the ground.

"Maybe we should just go home…It's been a long morning…"

“Y-yeah” he bit on his lip lightly. ‘You don’t deserve someone as great as him’

Land realized he didn't have his instrument. "Crap…I left it at the cafe…"

“Nope I got it” Alex said, picking it up from where he’d set it down earlier. “I made sure to get everything.”

"O-Oh…Thanks."

“N-no problem. We really have to get you a folder or something for this sheet music. You’re gonna lose it if you don’t.”

"…" Landyn nodded slowly.

“A-anyway…I guess we should get going now…”

"Y-Yeah…"

Alex handed Landyn his stuff and started walking slowly.

"A-At least let me walk you home…"

“O-okay” he replied quietly, stopping to wait for him.

Landyn walked up to him. "Let's go."

As soon as Landyn had caught up, Alex slowly started walking in the direction of his apartment.

(Now she said to go beyond so I yelled PLUS ULTRA)
