Hero vs Villain (O/O)

King laughed lightly with Colby. He had a slight grin on as Colby sat on the other side of him, "Good to know. How ya holding up?"

Colby smiled a little bit before shrugging. "I'm… alright I suppose. I'm holding up I suppose." He glances over at the other before leaning onto his shoulder. "Tired, but getting stronger."

King now had both brothers leaning on him, this was great. He nodded along looking down at Colby, "That's good. I think both of you are at the moment."

He smiled a little bit before sighing, his hand holding tightly to his phone. "You have to promise me something…" He says softly after a moment. "I need you to look after Pax…" He looks up at King.

"I can do that," King responded blinking a little. He didn't know what brought this on, and he was curious to find out, "What brought this on?"

Colby looks down at his phone and took a deep breath before looking at King. "I uh… I got a mission call…" He says after a moment, "They're threatening Pax if I don't comply… So I need you to look after him, okay?"

"Oh," King's head whirled and pieces fit into places. He frowned a little, "That's, that's blackmail. I mean, I can look after him, but will I need to show up as Crystalline?"

"I know damn well it's blackmail…" He sighed and placed his head in his hands. "And I can't have anyone with me… It's a solo…" He glanced at the other. "Just… stay here with Pax… keep him safe please." He says softly.

King frowned and looked to Pax. He took his other arm and gently wrapped it around Colby in some form of comfort. His voice was soft and soothing as he spoke, "I'll keep him safe for you okay? But understand if you have to do something to the city I'm going to have to intervene okay?"

Colby smiled weakly. "Thank you." He mutters softly. He shook his head. "It has nothing to do with the city." He says softly. He leans into the others grasps, trying to keep calm and not break down. He knew he was most likely going to be killed during this mission, but he needed to keep his head up.

"Yes, well," King debated for a moment. He held Colby close feeling the slight tremble of the other male. He bit his lip before saying, "I'll give you my number and you can contact me if something goes wrong. I'm, I'm worried about you."

Colby leaned into him, inhaling his scent, trying to keep calm and trying to make sure that he was okay. He didn't want to cry, not now. He nods slowly before looking up. "Please… I'd like that." He whispers as he looks up at King. "Worried… That's new…" He laughed weakly.

King laughed slightly as Colby did the same. His eyes gave away the really worry he had carefully concealed. God this man was going to be the death of King, "Yeah, it is. Here give me your phone I'll put my number in."

He slowly handed the other his phone, his hands trembling as he does so. He gulped back the lump in his throat and tried to calm down. He knew that there was going to be difficulty dealing with this. But at least someone would be taking care of Pax. That's all he needed.

King slowly removed his arm from around Pax so he could type his number into Colby's phone. While he was doing that, the arm around Colby started to run through the other male's hair. He finished typing it in and handed the phone back to Colby, "Use it okay? I can make sure Pax is safe, and help you."

He looked down at the phone before looking up at King and nodding slowly. He hesitated before setting a soft, chaste kiss to King's cheek. "Thank you." He mutters, a small smile on his lips. He stood slowly. "I need to go get ready…"

King let Colby leave letting his arm rest at his side. He felt his cheeks heat up at the kiss that had been placed, "Your welcome. Can't stay for dinner?"

"Not…. not tonight." He smiled weakly. He walks into his room and slid down to the floor, crying into his hand. He was so scared at the moment. He stood up and carefully got ready, mentally preparing himself.

King watched as Colby left. Lord knew how bad he wanted to follow after him. But he stayed put next to Colby though mentally preparing and quick checked to make sure his phone was near. Which it was.

Colby exits his room before smiling weakly at the other before looking down leaving the house. He inhaled the cool air before getting into his car and driving off.

King sat there with Pax. He had given a smile to Colby but now it was a waiting game. Either for dinner to finish, Pax to wake, or Colby to call.

Time seemed to tick by slowly. The timer for the oven went off, alerting King that dinner was finished. Pax woke up when the timer went off, yawning softly before looking around and looking at King. "Dinner?" He mumbles curiously.

"Yes, dinner," King responded going to stand. He kept one eye on Pax as he made his way to the kitchen and he motioned for Pax to follow, "Come on over."

Pax looks around. "Where's Colby?" He asks softly, stretching a little bit as he inhaled slowly. He let out a soft groan before following after King.

"Work finally called," King responded a bit grimly. He didn't like calling it that, but that's probably what it was to Pax, "Had to go immediately."

Pax blinked a few times before nodding. "I hope he's back soon… I'm not sure why his company would call him in this late though…" He mumbles thoughtfully.

"I don't know why either," King ran his hand through his hair. He had taken the dinner out of wherever it had been and found the plates, "But he had to leave and asked me to keep an eye on you. Since you have some record of being a troublemaker."

Pax looks up at the other before smiling a little. "Me? A troublemaker? No sir I'm an innocent angel." He teases lightly, digging into his food.

King lightly chuckled as he looked at Pax with a side smile. He grabbed his own plate of food and covered up the rest with hopes that Colby would be back later, “Of course you are.”

Pax ate quietly, humming in satisfaction. "This is really yummy…" he says after a moment. He glances over at King. "Do you want to watch a movie after dinner?"
