Sterling’s gaze shot to her again when he heard her coughing, and he let out a heavy sigh of relief when there was no blood. “Do you think you’re good to go to your cabin, then?”

"Mmm but I'm already hereeee." She whined. "And I'm comfortable."
“Seriously? That bed is comfortable?” Sterling questioned, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Not really, I just don't wanna move."
“I’ll carry you if you want,” Sterling offered with a shrug. “It’s not like I’ve been doing it all day or anything…”
"But there's people out there." She shrunk away from the window.
“Not in your cabin. Which is where I would be taking you,” Sterling said, giving her a small smile.
"Hmm…fine. If you insist."
Sterling chuckled a bit and stood. “Only if you want me to. I don’t want to make you go anywhere if you don’t want to.”
"Yeah, this place smells like death and disease."
“Well, you’re not wrong,” Steeling said with another chuckle as he slipped his arms underneath her and carried her bridal style again. “You okay?”
"Mhm. Feeling better than earlier."
Sterling nodded slowly. “Good, Good. I’m glad,” he said softly as he made his way to her cabin.
She laid her head on his chest, just listening to the soft thump of his heartbeat.
When they reached the cabin, Sterling pushed the door open and crossed the room to Cassandra’s bed. He laid her down gently before sitting beside her.
“So… How’s your throat feeling?” he asked gently.
"Like I swallowed a box of nails."
“Hm… Sorry… Do you think a cough drop would help?” Sterling wondered.
"Maybe. That and a glass of water."
Sterling nodded and stood. “I’ll be right back, then. I’ve got cough drops in my room, but I’ll bring you a water quick.”
She smiled a little. "Come back safe."
“Of course. I’ll be back soon,” Sterling promised before disappearing into the bathroom. He reappeared a few moments later with a glass of water, handed it to her with a kiss on the cheek, and walked out the door to get cough drops.
There was silence for a few seconds before a hand wrapped around her mouth. "If that rich kid thinks he's going to take you from me, he's got another thing coming." A familiar voice growled before slipping out a secret passage, leaving the room empty.
(That is not okay, man…):
Sterling arrived back at Cassandra’s cabin a few minutes later, carrying a bag of cough drops and a bag of ice. “I thought this might help your neck,” he explained as he walked into the room, smiling.
(I'll bring her back, okay? Just give me a couple minutes, I know what I'm doing.)
Silence. The room was still empty.
(Oh, I didn’t realize she was gone. Give me a sec, I’m going to change my last post.)
“Cass? Cassandra, where are you?” Sterling questioned, dropping the bags by the door and hurrying farther into the room.
His hand over her mouth pressed tighter when she tried to scream. She could hear him, he sounded worried.
Sterling let out a long and heavy sigh as he tore a hand through his hair. He looked around the room, trying to find his missing girlfriend.
“C’mon, Cass… Where are you…?” he muttered under his breath.
The terror running through her veins had her frozen but what was even more convincing was the sharp cold feeling of a blade pressed to her throat. "Say a word and I'll end you."
She has to be here somewhere… She couldn’t just get up and walk away, her ankle is sprained…
Sterling looked around frantically again, spinning in circles as he eyes tore the room apart. Maybe that’s what he had to do… Tear the room apart…
