"Aww, that's a shame." He leaned back in his chair. "You two were so far ahead, I thought you might make it. But if something's going on, I'm not going to stop you. You're free to go."

"Thank you, sir. I'm glad you thought so," Sterling said with a polite nod of his head, smiling before he turned and made his way back outside.
"He's chill. I like him." She chuckled, laying her head on his chest.
"Yeah, he's a cool guy," Sterling agreed, smiling down at her. "Do you need to get anything from your cabin?"
"Nah, not really. We can head out unless you need anything from yours."
"Yeah, I've got stuff that I need to get," Sterling said, turning toward his cabin.
"Let's just hope no one else is in there."
"Why? We're just taking you home," Sterling said with a shrug.
"Um, I'm not exactly wearing something that a lot of guys should be seeing." She pulled her shirt back up from where it was slipping.
Sterling glanced down at her and hummed, chewing on his lip as he looked back up. "I suppose you're right," he murmured as he stepped into the, thankfully empty, cabin.
She let out a slow breath. "Thank God."
Sterling set her on his bed before digging around a bit for the things he needed. Once he had them packed up and ready to go, he looked over at Cass and smiled. "Okay, I'm all set. You ready?"
"As I'll ever be. Let's go."
Sterling nodded and carefully picked her up, moving her to his back so he could carry his luggage as well. "It's a good thing I'm in shapeโฆ" he murmured jokingly as he stepped outside and started toward his car.
"Didn't know I was suddenly another piece of luggage." She chuckled. "Is your girlfriend just another item to you?" She teased.
"Hm, noโฆ But I have been carrying her all day. She might end up being luggage, though I would definitely not treat her as such," he chuckled.
"She certainly hopes you won't!"
Sterling smiled over his shoulder at her as they reached his black Mustang. He set his bags down and pulled his keys out of his pocket, unlocking the car. "Can you maneuver yourself into the seat, or should I help you?"
"First, can I just say, nice car. I would've killed to keep my motorcycle. Oh wait! I did! My poor baby girl is sat rotting in some storage unit I've been waiting for the day I can pick her up again. And second, I might need some help here."
"M'kay," Sterling hummed, opening the passenger side door. "You'll need to get down first, though."
"You're the one who put me up here." She chuckled.
"It was the easiest way to carry you!" Sterling defended himself.
"You put me up here, you can get me down."
Sterling huffed and basically dropped her, though he did it carefully. "Well, fine, then," he said playfully as he moved her back to his front.
She smiled up at him innocently. "Hey there handsome."
Sterling rolled his eyes playfully and bent down to kiss her softly. โHey, beautiful.โ
"Are we going or not?" She chuckled.
โYeah, yeah. Iโm getting there,โ Sterling chuckled as he helped her into the car. โThere. Better?โ
"Much. Thanks love." She smiled.
Sterling winked at her before putting his things in the trunk. After closing it, he made his way to the front seat and sat behind the wheel, starting the car up. โAll right. Iโm going to need you to tell me where Iโm going.โ
