"You know the apartment building next to that coffee shop that makes like the best muffins in the city? Up on 6th Avenue? That's the one."
๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ช๐ฝ๐ฎ ๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ช๐ฌ๐ด๐ผ!
Sterling blinked. "Hmโฆ Okay, I'm sure I can find thatโฆ"
"I'll show you, it's pretty easy to spot. The one where those graffiti artists vandalized the front walls a couple weeks ago?"
โCass, I don think I usually drive through your town,โ Sterling chuckled as he drove down the road.
"Yeah my side of town is pretty messed up." She chuckled. "Take the next right then a left it'll be the fourth building on your right."
โMโkay,โ Sterling hummed, following her directions. They soon pulled up at the apartment building, and he parked the car in the parking lot. โNot too bad. It actually looks pretty nice from the outside.โ
"Yeah that's from the outside." She rolled her eyes. "You should've seen the place when I first got here."
Sterling chuckled a bit and got out, crossing to the other side of the car to help his girlfriend out. He opened the door and offered her his hand. โYeah, Iโm sure it was a mess.โ
She took it and brought herself up onto her good foot. "Wasn't just a mess. It was like a damn hurricane had come through."
โWow. Iโd like to see what youโve done with the place, then,โ Sterling mused as he turned to have her get on his back.
Afee wolf whistles could be heard from the alleys and she groaned. "Noooo, why today?" She mumbled. "Damn girl! Showing off that kind of skin could get you in trouble." "Hello to you too Micheal." She scoffed at the blue eyed, black haired gang leader she knew and loathed. "Relax babe, I'm just trying to talk to you." "You're disgusting."
โHm. Maybe you should have changed your shirt before we left,โ Sterling murmured, lifting her up and holding onto her tightly. He grabbed his bags from the trunk before locking the car.
"Shouldn't you be off with Brittany?" "That whore? Broke up with her." "Isn't that like the fifth time?" "Yeah. But she's hot though so I don't mind her crawling back. And in something like that, I wouldn't mind you coming back to me either." "Ugh." She rolled her eyes. "Come on Camilla!" "Cassandra." "Whatever. Why don't you ever just loosen up with me?" "Because you're a manwhore and a womanizer." "Wow, hurtful."
"Buzz off, man. She's obviously not interested," Sterling sighed, rolling his eyes. "Go bother someone else."
"And who's this? You've been gone for two days and you're already cheating on me?" "For the last time, I'm not your girlfriend!" "Whatever! Who is it?" "Sterling this is Michael, the local gang leader and player. Michael this is Sterling, my boyfriend."
"I'd say it's nice to meet you, but you're hitting on my girlfriend, so it's less so," Sterling said, rolling his eyes.
"Wow and I thought just the boys from this town we're tripping over themselves for you. But no, of course you go for the rich kid." "Why does everyone keep saying that? I love him because of him, not his money." "That's what they all say, Diana." "Cassandra. How do you always mess up my name?" "I've got a lot of girls to look after."
"Honestly, I'm getting tired of this conversation and would like to go spend some time with my girlfriend. Are we done here?" Sterling asked, exasperated.
"I've been done here since he started talking to me. He just doesn't shut up." "It's a habit babe." "Yes I'm aware. Let's go already."
Sterling hummed his agreement and started toward the door. "What floor are you on?"
"Third floor. Got the best view, if you ask me."
"Hm, yeah. I'll bet it does. Can you see the rest of the town from there?" Sterling asked as he stepped inside and headed for the elevator.
"No, not exactly. But I have a perfect view of the sunrise in the morning. The floor to ceiling window is a damn pain to clean but it's always worth it."
"Oh, I bet that's amazing," Sterling mused thoughtfully as he stepped into the elevator that finally appeared. "Which number room are you?"
"317. Third floor, left side, seventh door. It was either that or 327 which is the same room but on the right side of the hall."
Sterling chuckled a bit as the elevator started going up. "What's so wrong with that?"
"I like the view in 317 more. Plus it was cheaper because no one wanted to pain of cleaning the window."
"I see," Sterling chuckled again. "I probably would have done the same, honestly."
They reached the room with the faded number in gold on the door. "Should be unlocked. Mark never remembers to lock the door behind him."
"Oh, because that seems safe," Sterling joked as he twisted the handle and pushed the door open.
