"Well of course silly!", he said, flinching a little.
The Man and His Assistant (CLOSED)
She noticed him flinch and winced. "Did I say something wrong?"
"What?! No!", he said quickly. He got his suitcase and hers at the same time and set them down.
"You flinched," she pointed out quietly, taking her suitcase. "Thank you."
"Uh…" He was out of words, so instead he changed the subject again. "We're in Tybee Island!"
She looked cheerful. "Yes, we are."
He rushed out the doors. "I'll call an uber to take us to our hotel in Savana!"
She followed him, nearly running into someone.
"I'm so sorry!" she apologized quickly and followed Isaac as not to loose him in a crowd.
He excitedly opened the uber app and requested one. "After we get to the hotel we eat dinner."
She stumbled and came to a stop beside him. "A-Alright."
"Do you prefer fancy or a seafood shack?", he asked, looking up.
"Wherever you'd like to go," she answered, brushing her hair behind her ear.
"I don't care.", he said. "Well… I would recommend The Crab Shack." He shrugged his shoulders like it was nothing.
"Then we can go there," she said with a kind smile.
A car stopped by the curb. "That's the uber!" He started walking towards it.
Robin quickly followed him towards the car.
He held the door open for her. "Hello, my name is Mary.", the uber driver said. "Hello.", August said back.
(Isaac XD)
"Hello," Robin echoed him.
(Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry that was autocorrect! XD)
"I'm Isaac.", he introduced. Mary laughed and said, "Hello Isaac!"
(It's fine, lol! XD)
"Uh, Robin," she said, quite nervously.
"Hello Robin!", Mary said with a smile. "Where to?"
"The Palmer House.", Isaac said.
Robin just nodded along. She took her phone out of her pocket and turned it off airplane mode. Instantly, unread emails littered her screen – all from the office.
He looked at her screen. "Eh, I'll get it taken care of."
"Don't worry about it, I can handle it," she replied, clicking on the first one and scanning it rapidly.
"I know you can handle it, I just want you to enjoy yourself.", he said gently.
She looked over at him in a mixture of fatigue and promise. "I'll try."
"No more tries. Just relaxation.", he smiled.
She smiled softly and nodded. "Alright."
He gave her a small hug and quickly went back to his phone. Now act like it's nothing.
She looked shocked for a second, followed by a blush, followed by a slightly disappointed pang in her heart. Maybe it was just a friendly hug…
