"Basics is, it happens rarely." He shrugs and holds Will.
One on one? (Closed!)
"Are you alright, Will?" Alison asked, still debating on whether or not to prepare an exorcism. She didn't doubt the TARDIS has such supplies, given the Doctor's many eccentricities.
Will nods, holding his head. "It's dad again…" He mutters. "Do you need to rest or are you good?" Nico asks.
"Erm…. what about your dad? I'm sorry, I'm a normal human from planet Earth that's still getting used to aliens existing, despite having been traveling with two that never seen to stop arguing about the most trivial things, and the whole time travel thing, so pardon me if I understand nothing." Alison said.
"His father is Apollo, greek god of… pretty much everything ranging from prophesies to healing to the sun." Nico mutters, shaking his head.
"Okay. Okay, I guess that makes sense. Please excuse me while I go and quietly have an existential crisis." she said.
He nods and smiles faintly at her as Will rests against him.
Alison turned back to the monitor. Well, she thought, I guess that I should start now. I've got a war to end, and I'm pretty sure that the Time Dork's quote unquote 'talk' isn't exactly strategizing. Alison got to work ending a war. It almost felt too neat, Alison thought, as she called various rebel leaders and laid out the plan. The Doctor hadn't had to do anything, and she was acting basically as a relay, nothing more. But maybe it was better that the aliens settle this, rather than having it done for them. Aonmus, she remembered, suddenly, in the middle of the conversation with the leader of yet another rebel faction. They were called the Aonmus. Fifteen minutes later, with the contacts made and a preliminary ceasefire agreed to, Alison finally got up. "I need to change out of this." she decided, looking at her muddy outfit she hadn't bothered to take off in favor of a clean, dry set of clothes.
Will and Nico talk quietly, Will's eyes dull and Nico's eyes concerned. He wasn't sure what to do. Will was barely responsive after a vision, and he was always in pain.
"Hey, I think it's basically sorted for now. Let's all take five, I'll change out of this, then I'll go check on the Time Dorks, and then we could watch a movie or something, yeah?" Alison asked Will and Nico, she thought they all could use a break doing something that would help them relax.
Will nods slowly at her words and Nico smiles a little. "That sounds wonderful."
"Great. I'll only be a minute, I want to get into something dry and less infested by outside's environment." she laughed.
"Good idea." Nico chuckles as he holds Will.
Alison walked off to get changed. After she had visited the wardrobe and pulled on a cream coloured jumper and jeans, she asked the TARDIS where to find her other companions, and the ship obliged. That was one of the nicer things about travelling, the TARDIS was very helpful when you needed it. The Doctor and the Master were in one of the various sitting rooms, according to the ship, so she went to look for them there. Quiet voices floated out the door, Alison stood for a long time, unsure of whether to interrupt or leave them be. "Won't Alison be waiting -" the Doctor's voice floated through the door. "The girl can take care of herself. Doctor -" the Master's voice replied. Alison knocked, and then pushed the door open. She wasn't going to let them get in another fight, especially not over her this time. "Alison!" said the Doctor. He was backed up to a wall, the Master barely a foot away. "Has something happened? Do we need to go?" the Doctor asked. "I'd think very carefully about how you answer that, Miss Cheney," said the Master in a dangerous purr. "I think it's more or less sorted," said Alison. "We'll find out tomorrow. I just came to tell you that you don't need to make any plans for tonight." she said. "Anyways, I'll probably be in the theater if you need me, but you, ah, probably don't so…" she trailed off. "What do you mean, 'sorted'?" said the Doctor. "She obviously took some initiative, Doctor. I told you Miss Cheney could take care of herself. Now, perhaps we could return to… what we had been doing, and Miss Cheney can get some well-earned rest." The Master tilted his head at Alison, inviting an answer. "Right," said Alison. She'd definitely earned it, after today. "Are you sure matters can wait until tomorrow?" said the Doctor, stepping forward in a way that made him seem ready to leave but also brought him, almost incidentally, further into the Master's personal space. "Yes," said Alison, firmly. "They'll have to." The Master's eyes glittered with approval. Alison backed out of the room as the Master ran a proprietary hand down the front of the Doctor's jacket. Tomorrow there would, with any luck, be another government ruling the war-torn remains of this planet. Or country. She'd never quite sorted out the expanse of the fighting. Anyway, tomorrow, there'd be a new government, and new negotiations. She'd be rested, the Doctor and his android companion would hopefully have either discussed things or simply have let the matter of the Doctor's safety go. Or they probably taking taking an entirely different course of action to settle things, one Alison didn't feel entire comfortable thinking about. She, Alison decided as she headed down the corridors back to Will and Nico, was sick of their fighting. Sniping was fine. Snide comments were fine. She could even deal with full-blown sarcasm. But the fighting had not been fun. Having all of that hidden history explode in her face had been worse than not knowing anything that was going on. Not that she wanted the Doctor to keep hiding things from her. On the other hand, she didn't want to deal with the Doctor and the Master doing…anything really. Not that the Master would allow any public displays of any kind of affection, really. Especially not romantic affection. Alison's thoughts were going in circles, and she was still tired and in need of a break from this whole situation. Maybe they could just keep themselves to themselves. Alison could respect that. She went back to Will and Nico, ready to flop down on a comfy sofa with a quilt and some popcorn and watch a movie. Probably some soap opera from the future, the Doctor seemed to have many movies along those lines. Or possibly a historical drama. Or even a horror or crime film. Or something Alison couldn't even remotely tell what genre it was. The Doctor had a lot of movies like that. She walked back to where she had left Will and Nico. "So, what would you two want to watch? We'll probably be able to find something that we could enjoy, or at least make fun of for it's cheesiness." she laughed.
(Hey, have you interacted with a roleplayer named @haley? Apparently they're going around and harrassing roleplayers)
(No, but I'll keep an eye out.)
(I have skills in the art of internet arguments. Rule One: nobody ever changes their mind. Rule Two: Memes are an asset. If I bump into them though, I don't think it'll be a problem. I'm not easily offended lol. Don't worry!)
(Yeah, they're starting to freak out a lot of roleplayers, so.)
"Anything really. We're fine with whatever." Will mumbles. Nico nods in agreement, chuckling softly.
"Okay, what sort of movies do you guys like then? Like, fantasy, or action-adventure, crappy reality telly, etcetera etcetera." Alison said. "Pick a genre, any genre."
Will looks up at Nico and makes a pouty face. Nico sighs then chuckles. "Would Horror be alright?" He asks curiously.
"Sure thing!" Alison grinned. "Let's break out the popcorn and the abnormally large quilts."
Nico nods excitedly and helps Will get comfortable. "Sounds like a plan!" He says cheerfully.
Alison made a trip to the kitchen, and then to the quilt closet (yes, there was one of those), then brought back snacks and blankets galore. "Okay, so I found a pretty vast selection of horror movies, which one do you want to watch, or shall I pick at random?" Alison asked.
"Let's pick at random." Nico says cheerfully. Will nods, already nuzzling under one of the quilts.
"Alright. If I'm going to be honest, I haven't really watched many horror films." she said, picking a cassette tape at random. "Hmm. No title, definitely not from the 21st century, probably from the future if I'm guessing correctly, which I probably am." she said, pushing the tape in and starting the film. It was pretty normal for the first few minutes, but Alison examined the background a little more closely, and she saw a vaguely familiar face… "Wait, that's that Oswald woman, Cece, right? What's she doing in a movie?" Alison said, mostly to herself.
Will rested on Nico, his eyes shutting as he slowly fell asleep. Nico watches it with interest. "I'm not sure. Wasn't she the woman from the library?"
"No, after that, she helped us get the TARDIS back, remember? And weirdly enough, she could even fly her… I don't think anyone other than the Doctor or his robot could do that, honestly. The Doctor said she doesn't normally let others fly her." Alison recalled a conversation they were having, deep in that mine shaft, about to be frozen to death. That was before she had met Will and Nico, obviously. "This doesn't make much sense. Who is she?" Alison asked, still mostly to herself.
Nico shrugs. "I'm not sure." He replies, looking down at Will.
"…. okay, right, there we go! Hi, Alison, Will, Nico! Okay, no time for formalities. Alison, get a notebook and pen, time how long it takes for you to get back, and write that information down. I don't have much time, so be quick about it." Cece said. Alison decided to oblige, jumping up and complying to Cece's instructions. 7 minutes. Right. Alison thought as she got back. "Okay, welcome back. Write down everything that's said, word for word. I'm reading out of the notebook right now, I'm saying exactly what you heard me say, and I don't want to cause a paradox because you didn't write down something, okay?" she asked. "Wait, what? I don't understand." Alison said. "Okay, I'm a time traveller. You give this to a past version of me. I'll know what to do with it when the time comes, don't worry." Cece confirmed.
Nico's eyes are wide, watching the other. Cece? What was going on?
