Sci-Fi RP with my character Ellis (CLOSED)

She laughed, shaking her head. "You're not gonna propose are you?" She joked, bangs falling in front of her eyes.

"I might….." He smirked. "You'd kill me though."

What? "I don't think I'd be able to kill anyone. Besides, marriage isn't really on my mind right now. But your interesting outbursts are." Mari shot a glance at him, her face starting to flush red.

"My whats?"

"Love, dear, would you mind telling me why exactly you said them?" This was going to be interesting.

Ellis blushed. "Oh that….slip of the tongue I guess…" I have a huge crush on you and I'm trying to hint.

Just a slip of the tongue. Mari sighed, looking up at Ellis. "Okay then." It's better this way.

"But…." He paused. "I do want to tell you something."
Pardon, WHAT ARE YOU DOING???

"And that is?" Did she have grease on her cheek? Was he retiring as Captain? Did he want her to get more landing gear supplies?

Ellis took a deep breath. "It wasn't a slip of the tongue. I think I'm in love with you and I know you're probably gonna kill me but it's worth it."

She froze, staring at him for an extended period of time. Did he just say love? "Ellis. . . I think. . . I'm in. . . love with you. . . too." Mari was bright red.

"Really?" He blinked. "So….you're not….gonna…kill me?"

"I wouldn't." She inhaled sharply and stared at the ground, hugging herself. This isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Ellis loves me.

They had reached the town limits now. Ellis took a deep breath. "You're not just saying this to make me fell good are you?"

Mari slipped her hand into his and leaned against him. "Of course not." She looked up at him, a small smile played out on her face.

Ellis smiled and squeezed her hand a bit. "Good. Great. Sorry, I'm not used to this."

"Me neither. We'll just go with the flow. Not a word about this to the others." Mariko bit her lip, looking up at the sky.

"Right. They'd all flip. Especially Gaia." Ellis nodded. "Seth will find out almost right away though."

(Ellen: As will I…
Me: No you won't)

"Just one more thing, why did you actually keep the ring?" Mari smiled.

"I was gonna give it to you but you seem pretty against that."

"What? Why? We are not getting married anytime soon. Besides, if you wanted to get me a nice present, you would've given me a new blaster."

"I wanted to buy you that hat but you wouldn't let me!"

"Because it's not my birthday!"

"But I love you so that's irrelevant!"

She covered her face with her hands. "Use "love" sparingly. Besides, how do you expect me to win this argument if you throw that word out?! I love you too!"

"I don't expect you to win every argument." He put a hand on her shoulder.

"I have a desire to win." Mari leaned into his touch.

"I know." He put his arm around her.

"Do you want to head back?" She asked.
