A quite noticeable scar on his upper lip from the braces that he used to have cutting through it when he was punched in the mouth as a middle schooler.

Button downs open over logo tee shirts in warmer weather, big sweaters or the same few hoodies in the winter. Slim fit pants (most often khakis or dark wash jeans) and heavy boots with mismatched socks. Always wears his fancy digital watch, the kind that beeps on the hours. He has horn-rimmed glasses with thick lenses.

Jonas is reserved most of the time, and not the type to approach others to start a conversation. Very logical and analytical. He prefers working alone and will do most of the work in a group project. Around his friends, he's somewhat more outgoing, and really likes to talk about whatever the latest thing he's been reading about is. He most often spirals into deep philosophical conversations or monologues. He recites a lot of useless facts and likes to discuss things like conspiracies about Shakespeare with people that are willing. He collects foreign books in languages he doesn't understand, leaves notes in the margins of library books, drinks cold tea and covers his bedroom walls in sticky notes.

He's often so logical that he kind of forgets that other people have feelings, and can be the giver of harsh/brutal "ugly truths" as a result.

Failure

Jonas has a lot of internalized homophobia because he grew up in a very Christian family that taught him that homosexuality was a sin. He doesn't follow Christianity anymore, but he still has trouble accepting his sexuality because he's been raised to think that it's wrong and bad.

He often forgets to care for himself when he's sick, because he's so busy studying, so one of the others usually has to stay with him and make sure he's taking medicine and resting whenever he catches an illness.

Jonas' voice is naturally on the quieter side but very matter-of-fact and his words are very enunciated. If he wanted to, he could project his voice quite well, but he doesn't often unless he's doing debate. You can still hear his Irish accent, but it only comes forth more prominently when he's mad or talking to other Irish people.
