Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)

A tear rolled down his cheek and he quickly brushed it away. "But… b-but how could you love someone like me? I'm just a self destructive emotional wreck, and I… I don't want to hurt you…."

(And Lucas doesn't think he deserves love oof)

"Because you need it, and because I want to." he said firmly, "I wish I knew ho to explain it, but I've been in love with you since I laid eyes on you…" he watched him carefully.

Lucas bit his quivering lip for a moment before hugging Skye, crying softly into the other's shirt.

Skye gently hugged him back, "Its okay…. I'mnot going anywhere…" he told the other.

"I-I don't deserve someone like you…" Lucas whispered, holding tighter to Skye.

"There's no way to know if that's true or not, though I'll always say it isn't," said Skye, "Besides, you have me now, and I'm here to stay.

Lucas buried his face in Skye's chest, trembling and hiccuping quietly. "I'll never understand why you can love a mess like me…"

"I just do love…" he murmured.

Lucas fell quiet, subsiding into soft sobs. In his mind, there were so many better people who could be Skye's soulmate. People who deserved him.

Skye held him close, letting him process in his own way.

"If… if my own father didn't even love me, h-how could you…?" Lucas held tighter to Skye, not wanting to lose him.

"Because your father was clearly an idiot who can't see a treasure that's right in front of him" he said gently, holding the other.

Lucas cried harder, trembling. Why does he care about me? "I… t-thank you… I don't… I-I don't deserve that, b-but thank you…"

Skye hummed sadly, "You do deserve it…. every word…" he murmured, burying his nose in the other's hair.

Lucas's heart was pounding hard and fast, and his face was flushed. "T-Thank you…" He whispered, hiccuping. Calm down… you're worrying him, asshole.

Skye hummed, cuddling him gently.

Normally being held like this would make Lucas panic, but right now he was too tired to care and he knew he needed it. He tucked his head under Skye's chin, trying to control his breathing.

Skye eventually leaned back again with the other on top of him, humming a soft tune.

His fever was going down a bit, and he managed to fall asleep, tear tracks stained on his cheeks.

Skye smiled at his sleeping soulmate, leaving a kiss on his forehead.

When Lucas woke up several hours later, his fever seemed to be gone. He was still a bit achy, but otherwise okay.

Skye had fallen alseep beneath him, his arms resting on the other's back

Lucas sat up and rubbed at his eyes. Alright… let's see what new ability I have. He moved away from Skye for safety reasons and started trying out different things.

Skye whined softly in his sleep when the other pulled away, a frown tugging at his lips as the other left.

After a while of experimenting, Lucas found himself in the form of a small golden retriever. Well… that's new. I suppose that must be it. He padded over to Skye and pawed gently at his face.

Skye whined and rolled over, having reverted to his deep sleep a few moment's after the other had left.

Lucas licked Skye's face, whining quietly. He couldn't talk in this form, but if Skye were to turn into a wolf, he probably could. He was actually pretty adorable as a golden retriever. He was very fluffy and he had one ear pointed up and the other flopped over. His baby blue eyes stayed as well.

Skye eventually woke to the whining of a pup, or at least that's what it sounded like. Shifting to wolf form, ending up much larger than Lucas, he carefully told said pup (In the language of wolves) to go bug Marco or something since he wasn't fully awake yet.
