"Doesn't that kinda hurt?" Lucas asked. "You'd be digging your teeth into my skin, after all." He looked up at Skye, the ear that was flopped down turning inside out. He shook his head a bit in an attempt to fix it.
Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)
"Mother's do it to their pups all the time, it wouldn't hurt.. though it might be awkward for you…" he said, "Besides, I'd never bite you…"
"How?" Lucas succeeded in fixing his ear and rolled over to a position where he could see Skye better. "Did your mother ever carry you like that?"
"No… for starters she wasn't a wolf, she was a shifter like Marco… secondly she never told me I was half wolf.." he hummed sadly at that.
"I can tell you right now it doesn't hurt unless you've got a broken leg…" said Marco, realizing what the question was through Skye's answer. "Skye had to carry me that way when I got hurt in dog form a few years back,"
"Mm… my mother never carried me like that either, but I guess that would've been pretty weird if she did." Lucas sat up and looked up at Skye. "How does it work?"
Skye hummed, rolling Lucas off of his lap so he could shift without being awkward or hurting him. "I could show you"
"Okay." Lucas sat back and watched Skye transform, a little intimidated by the wolf's size now that he was smaller himself.
Skye carefully stepped towards him, leaning down to grasp the other by the scruff, his sharp fangs digging in a little bit, but not enough to hurt, as he scooped him up.
Lucas yelped a bit, tucking his tail between his legs nervously as he looked down at the ground. Since Skye was so large, he was actually a couple feet off the ground. "I'm… I'm not too heavy or anything?"
Skye would've nodded, but that wasn't a good idea. instead he gently set the other down, not wanting to startle him with telepathy, "You'r nt too heavy…" he told him, nuzzling him affectionately.
(The image I'mgetting of Lucas is just adorable…)
Lucas's tail wagged softly. He was small enough that he could stand directly beneath Skye without touching him at all, so there weren't a lot of easy options to show affection as a dog. He just physically couldn't reach Skye's head without the wolf having to lean down.
(He's such a pure boyo and needs hugs)
(AWWWWWWWWWWWW)
Skye looked down at him, "And I thought you were small before" he commented,
Lucas stuck his tongue out. "Get down here! I can't reach you." He stood up as tall as he could, but Skye was still nowhere within reach.
Skye laughed, moving to lay on his side so the other could reach him.
Lucas touched noses with Skye and lay down beside him. His paws looked tiny next to Skye's.
(Skye's just a massive boyo and Lucas is like, below average sized dog so he is very very smol)
Skye smiled, pulling him close with one paw, smiling like a goof.
(Marco: Why must I be the ultimate third wheel?
ME: Be glad you aren't the seventh wheel like Valdez was.
Marco: Touche)
(Skye is like, I must protecc the smol. He's gonna start thinking of Lucas as his puppy lmao)
Lucas nestled his head against the bottom of Skye's chest, his tail thumping gently on the ground.
(Maybe…. but honestly Lucas might mature a bit once he gets used to the idea of having someone who cares what happens to him.)
Skye smiled happily, leaving Marco to sigh and start making food.
(Yeah)
Lucas heard soft rustling in the trees and lifted his head up, sniffing the air. Eh, probably nothing…
(Me over here considering hunters again because angst and fluff and stuff lol)
Skye noticed the other's movements, and copied him, though he watched the trees a little longer than that. carefully he got up and stalked to the entrance, ears back suspiciously.
Lucas got up as well and trotted after Skye, sitting beside him. He surveyed the trees a bit more, but didn't see anything. Something smelled a bit different, but he figured that was just his now enhanced sense of smell.
Skye started growling, pushing Lucas behind him protectively, "Marco we have a problem!" he called.
(Who said it had to be hunters?)
(Ooooo)
"What's wrong? Is something there?" Lucas peered out from behind Skye's leg, confused. Marco came over as well.
Skye growled, his fur standing on end as a rather large, classical werewolfy creature came out of the trees.
Marco's eyes widened when he saw it, and he quickly shifted, pulling Lucas behind them.
Skye stepped forward warily, his body language showing signs of fear as he locked eyes with the creature.
Lucas got into a defensive position, magic sparking off from his fur. He growled as well, although it was considerably less intimidating. He wanted to help fight if he could, and he needed to get used to fighting in this body.
(Lucas is surprisingly less afraid, but he doesn't have any clue what they're fighting XD)
