Nature
Hates her father for abandoning her, and that's the strongest opinion that she has on anything that's not objectively bad.
Aldin is an excellent lateral thinker, and able to come up with outside the box solutions to help her escape life-or-death situations.
Although she's hopeless with a bow and arrow, she has a very strong throwing arm and excellent wrist control. She is highly accurate at throwing objects at targets, and she eventually utilizes her talent to master the boomerang.
She's knows the streets of Central City like the back of her hand and how to survive on them, and she knows how to stretch a rupee.
She's a decent cook and knows how to make quick, simple meals that taste good and last, namely soups and stews.
Knitting
Aldin is a hard-working young women who will do whatever is necessary to keep her family together. She is very determined and patient, and is willing to risk her life if it means protecting those that she loves. She's quick-thinking and cool under pressure, and is very street-savvy. She is also an understanding person, and is very accepting.
Looking bewildered at all times
Aldin is mainly driven by her desire to protect those that she loves, namely her brothers and Princess Elleen.
Aldin can be over-analytical to the point of arrest, and needs an outside force to push her into action. She can be neutral to the point of being a perpetual fence-straddler, so she tends not to form strong opinions on things. While she's quick-witted when it comes to escaping dangerous situations, she is not very knowledgeable about much else, and flounders in academic situations. She's terrible at planning things long term, preferring to take things minute by minute, due in part to being homeless for several years.

History
Erin Aldin was born in Lurelin Village to her Farian-Hylian mother and Central-Hylian father. When she was still an infant, her parents moved to Central City where her father began work as a blacksmith. Although they were never wealthy, they lived a comfortable life on the father's salary.
When Erin was around eight years old, right around the time that her mother was pregnant with her youngest brother, her father left home and never returned. Her mother was forced to support two, eventually three, children, and having never worked a day in her life before, the stress of making ends meet ultimately killed her when Erin was 11. Determined to keep her family together and safe, Erin stepped up to the task of being the head of the household. When she and her brothers were eventually evicted from their home due to not being able to pay the property taxes, Erin guided her brothers through a tumultuous life on the city streets as best as she knew how by using a combination of resourcefulness and friendships that her family had with the locals before they left/died.
At 16, Erin decided that the only way she would be able to properly take care of her brothers would be to get a proper job. She set her sights on the Royal Hyrulean Army, hoping that her malnourished body would trick people into thinking that she was male. It worked, and Erin passed the military exam well enough to become a soldier.
After a year, Erin happened to save the life of the Princess pf Hyrule by jumping in the way of an arrow that Elleen accidentally got i front of. Even though the arrow pierced her chest, it did not hit any vitals, and she made a full recovery. Elleen, whom was between Royal Knights at the time, saw this as an opportunity to acquire a Knight that she could easily dismiss, and insisted that Erin become her new Knight. When she was well enough, Erin was given the Knight's test in which she had to battle a Stalnox. Realizing that she was hopeless with a bow, she decided to throw rocks to knock out the Stalnox's eye. She passed her test by trapping the eye of the Stalnox in her lucky cauldron until the morning sun vanquished the undead monster, and was knighted the next day.
She and Elleen became close when the Princess realized that Erin was understanding of her nature, unlike all the others, and they eventually fell in love. When the Princess found out that Erin was actually a woman, she felt betrayed, but it was only temporary, and they reaffirmed their love for each other.
