Ze has a degree of control over space and time. Time is a hard one for zir to get a hold on, but when ze does it sends the entire world backwards, not just zirself, and it’s limited to only a couple minutes. That combined with it’s difficulty and physical toll leave it generally unused. In terms of space, ze only has enough control to accurately send zirself through space, and only to locations ze can see. Jay is also quite skilled in hand to hand combat, though ze doesn’t carry weapons.

Jayde grew up in Blythefair with zir parents and older sister. Ze had quite a nice life, but zir parents were killed and zir sister was captured in a raid when ze was five. Afterwards, Jayde had to live on the streets of Alevine, luckily zir magic is quite helpful for sneaking in and out of places. After six years, zir magic became extremely refined through overuse. Ze caught the eye of many underground organizations.

One of which was the Cosmos. Jezebel reminded Jayde a lot of Zeph (zir sister), and Jezebel swore they would search for Zeph if Jayde pledged zirself to the cause. Ze did, but the mission didn’t go well.

It was the first mission Jezebel and Jayde went on together. Bazza and Mari successfully tracked Zeph down, but Jayde’s inexperience ruined the mission. Ze tried to complete the mission without Jezebel’s help, but got overpowered easily. Since Jezebel’s power is indiscriminate, they had to think pretty creatively. In buying time, it was forced to prioritize. In order to save Jayda, they couldn’t protect Zeph.

Jayde mourned zir sister for a while, but also realized how much Jezebel cared for zim. Even though Jezebel couldn’t keep her promise and made it clear Jayde was free to leave, ze stayed regardless. Jezebel made zir a new promise to train and always protect zim, no matter what.

Ze has a lot of survivor’s guilt, constantly searching for ways to prove ze deserved to survive. Zir doesn’t remember how to rely on others anymore either. After joining the Cosmos, Jayde tried to make it a family ze lost. Unlike most of the others there, ze actually remembers zir family. Jayde’s arc is centered on zim finding a new family and reclaiming zir own faith in this world.
