History
fall around harvest time
Much like his brothers Richard spent his youth with various tutors and in schools where he excelled in his academic studies, however where he shined was when he learned to manipulate the local street urchins to do his dirty work for him such dealing with bullies or "acquiring" items that he couldn't get for various reasons, skills that he would would practice and refine as he learned what was truly needed at court for a noble, when his father started the rebellion Richard was the first of his sons to join him not on the field but behind the scenes so his father could focus on winning the war and not keeping the daggers out of his back, many of his fathers decisive victories were won due to information Richard obtained through his ever growing network of informants, until the day came that Richard knew they had to act and take out the Stanzgarian king before he could get the dwarves to side with him in the war and turn the tide of battle against the rebellion, and so with Richards help Darius snuck a well trained group of Goltari Berserkers into the palace of the capital and killed the King of Stanzgar, and taking the royal Family hostage forcing them to capitulate, after the war Richard spent most of his time being the dutiful prince being seen at functions and showing the mask required of him, always keeping his network in the background, even when his father made him the territorial governor of Talara he stayed in the capital, what need did he have to go and live amoungst the Talarans who had gladly accepted Stanzgarian protections, when the Talaran Theocracy sent the heads of the diplomats and legion commanders that Richard had left there to run his governorship in his absence he blamed himself, after his father put the Talaran aggression down, Richard began to spend at least half the year in Sarsomon and to build up his network around Talara that they would never catch him off guard again
extremely high, Richard absorbed and proceeded to remember everything he was ever taught or read
