Serena like most of her siblings was born into a gilded lifestyle, when she was 14 she was sent to Boulderholm to both learn from and act as diplomat to the dwarves, while playing with some of the dwarven children she touched something she probably shouldn't have, the resulting shock threw her into a wall and left her unconscious for a day or so, but when she woke up she knew things that the dwarves had thought lost during the siege, she would get flashes of knowledge from the dwarven archive, a fact that caused both Hollow Holm and the Nartheam clan to put an official cease fire on their unofficial war with each other for the time being but would also arm both factions for a later date, during this time Serena would become obsessed with some of the body enhancements that the hollow holm dwarves used and would get them to teach her about them and how to build and power them, thus starting her first obsession, later in life she would be betrothed for political purposes to a noble from Ice Sea and the two were said to be inseparable, sadly the boy died just a few days before their wedding night, and her parents never tried to get her married off to another, after darius' rebellion darius kept her on as diplomatic envoy to boulderholm
