Early spring

Zera and her sister were born to an incredible amount of fanfare thousands of spirits chief among them a known trickster the Laughing King, and while this did make the spectacle of the massive procession for their birth somewhat suspect the royal family, particularly their mother played up the other spirits in attendance of which several very important ones showed up heralding the twins birth as something special, and the two were treated that way being allowed to get away with quite a bit throughout their childhood, even after the change in leadership brought on by the Drachenbär rebellion Zera and her sister were largely allowed to stay in the palace living their lives and only occasionally acting as intermediaries between the Drachenbärs and any spirits they needed dealt with

it is not known if the massive spectacle at Valera and Zera's birth was in fact a prank pulled on the spirit realm and the Stanzgar royal family be the laughing king or if he was just the first to notice and make others aware, but the girls mother pushes for the latter story as it increases her personal and her families reputation much higher
